Black Tomato, the innovative, experiential, boundary-pushing expert in high-end bespoke travel, has launched ‘Every Cloud – in search of silver linings’. Based on the belief that travel can change not only an individual’s perspective but their lives.
‘Every Cloud’ is a competition seeking a curious traveler who will venture the world with Black Tomato, over the course of one year, to uncover the communities, experiences, and places that lift spirits, and report back on the stories that ignite happiness, so they can be shared with the world.
In today’s world, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, and overwhelmed by news of hardship and struggle; while it’s imperative to acknowledge the bad, it’s equally essential to reaffirm that there is much good in the world and to seek out these joyful, happy moments.
Black Tomato is handcrafting six all expenses paid, tailored journeys in 2020 all over the world for one individual who will embark on the ultimate journey of self-discovery and the experience of a lifetime, spanning many continents and time zones to explore a diversity of landscapes from bustling cities to remote mountain communities.
They’ll take notes, film and share these experiences in real-time, and Black Tomato will be releasing these stories across all their channels and platforms throughout the year. It’s as easy as that. Why? So periodically, people’s newsfeeds will be flooded with warmth, humanity, and hope, not just the darkness, where the winner becomes a catalyst to change a collective outlook.
Driven by a need to unearth life-affirming experiences, this individual, and fellow storyteller, shares Black Tomato’s vision and curiosity to connect with the remarkable tapestry of landscapes, cultures, and people to capture the good that is out there and help us all gain a more balanced, global perspective.

The applicant must publish a story (max. 150 words) with their own image or video on Instagram or via our microsite, telling Black Tomato about an experience they had that brought them happiness and why. Shortlist is announced on 9th December.
